Lochquarry Outdoor Centre provides outdoor activities for schools, families and young people.
We have recently expanded the number of different activities on offer and would like all our visitors to try them and let us know what they think.

The activities that the centre offers can be split into three main categories: land-based, water-based and rope-based.
Read on to find out all the exciting new surprises we have for you!

Visitors can take part in a wide range of land-based activities on and off site.

Very exciting activities for adults, children and youth.
You can hoose from:

  • Hillwalking
  • Archery
  • Orienteering
  • Axe Throwing

Water-based activities take place on Lochquarry itself.
We have all the equipment to provide safe and fun activities for individuals, families and school groups.

Depending on the activity we can accomodate groups from 6 to 16 people and ages ranging from 6 years old and above.
Our main water based activities are:

  • Kayaking
  • Canoeing
  • Powerboating

All rope-based activities take place on site with full safety equipment provided.
Whether proficient or beginner we provide rope activities for different experience and ability levels.

From learning knots to challenging heights, there will be activities to give you a day full of learning and adrenaline highs.
Our more challenging rope activities are:

  • Climbing
  • Abseiling
  • Pole Climb

Is there a place to eat at the centre? Yes, we have a café area with hot food and snacks.
Do we need to bring life vests? No, we provide all the equipment needed for the activities.
Do we have to insure the school students? No, all participants are covered by our insurance when they sign up for the activities.
Do we have to bring water for hillwalking? Please bring a water bottle. The centre sells bottled water and has water fountains where you can refill your bottles.
Is there a place and activities for the younger ones while we do the activities? Yes, we have a staffed crèche offering activities for all ages.
Are any of your activities suitable for wheelchair users? Yes, we have wheelchair-accessible routes and adapted activities for participants of all abilities.
